The 12th International Conference of the ABAI in Lisbon focused on the maturation of behavioral science as a global discipline. This gathering at the Altis Grand Hotel brought together researchers to discuss “Evidence-Based Strategies Across the Lifespan.” Key themes included the integration of behavioral interventions with early childhood education and the development of vocational supports for autistic adults. The conference also addressed the importance of “Scientific Rigor in Community-Based Programs,” providing practitioners with tools to maintain high treatment fidelity in diverse clinical settings. By hosting the event in Lisbon, the ABAI highlighted the growing neurodevelopmental research community in Southern Europe and facilitated dialogue between US and EU practitioners.
